The article is devoted to the analysis of the evolution of Irish republicanism - from reliance on paramilitarymethods of struggle to participation in the political process. It examines the organisational structure, strategiesand tactics of the Provisional IRA and the INLA (Irish National Liberation Army), as well as key events (theassassination of Airey Neave, the 1980–1981 hunger strikes, intra-republican conflicts). The study also addresses the process of politicisation of the republican movement, which laid the groundwork for the subsequent peaceprocess.

Статья посвящена анализу эволюции ирландского республиканизма – от опоры навоенизированные методы борьбы к участию в политическом процессе. Исследуются организационнаяструктура, стратегии и тактики Временной ИРА и ИНЛА, ключевые события (убийство Эри Нива,голодовки 1980–1981 годов, внутриреспубликанские конфликты), а также процесс политизацииреспубликанского движения, заложивший основу для последующего мирного процесса.
